Ashim Arora, MD, Named Adventist Health Simi Valley 2023 Physician of the Year

Since his tenure began at Adventist Health Simi Valley in 1999, pulmonologist Ashim Arora, MD, has collaborated with and is consistently praised by many colleagues throughout the hospital. All those who voted for him as Physician of the Year have similar experiences working with him.

“He always prioritizes patient safety and care, and is highly regarded by them and our staff,” said one voter.

Another voter said, “He’s an excellent physician who is always willing to help patients, nurses and medical colleagues.”

“Dr. Arora embodies the hospital’s mission in his speech, actions and care towards all he encounters” another staffmate praised. “His calm demeanor is always reassuring during stressful times.”

Others praised Dr. Arora for knowing nurses by their faces and names, as well as being highly responsive while cultivating good relationships with everyone.

“I’m thrilled when patients do well and appreciate all the thank you from them and my colleagues,” said Dr. Arora humbly. “But I also am thankful when patients know we do our best to take care of them.”
