Campaign for the Nancy Reagan Breast Center

World-class compassionate care, close to home Investing in the future of breast care in Ventura County

Nearly 30 years ago, breast cancer survivor and former First Lady Nancy Reagan gave her name to the Adventist Health Simi Valley breast center. Since then, thousands of women have sought treatment at the center, and the need for mammograms continues to rise. In 2021, the center performed nearly 9,500 mammograms. The following year, that number increased by 7% to 10,200.

To continue Nancy Reagan's mission of ensuring women across Ventura County receive expert breast care, the Adventist Health Simi Valley Foundation invites you to join us in raising $2 million to renovate and expand the Nancy Reagan Breast Center.

The expansion will enable us to double the number of patients receiving state-of-the-art breast care, saving even more lives. The project will improve patient experience and outcomes by:

  • Creating a welcoming space designed with comfort and elegance in mind
  • Accommodating advanced technology, including an additional 3D mammography unit and ultrasound machine
  • Increasing the number of treatment rooms
  • Expanding our clinical team

About the Nancy Reagan Breast Center

Since 1994, the Nancy Reagan Breast Center of Adventist Health Simi Valley has been devoted to the prevention, detection and treatment of breast disease.

The state-of-the-art facility offers quality, compassionate care for patients throughout Ventura County.

Center of Excellence

As one of the first facilities in Ventura County to be designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the Nancy Reagan Breast Center has earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy).

Advanced Technology

The Breast Center uses the most advanced technology in the field of digital and 3D mammography. This results in a more powerful diagnosis, fewer call-backs for additional pictures, less anxiety for patients due to the immediate generation of images, and faster results.

Nurse Navigators

Adventist Health Simi Valley's oncology-certified nurse navigators walk with breast cancer patients through their entire treatment journey and beyond. They help to facilitate the treatment process, refer patients to community resources and prepare the patient for life after treatment.
