Honoring Elaine Freeman
Elaine Freeman, an Adventist Health Simi Valley Foundation board member, was recently honored for her decades of service to the community following her retirement from the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District board. A dedicated leader, Elaine was celebrated by the parks district and recognized by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce with their Legacy Award for her role in preserving open spaces and ensuring safe, healthy outdoor recreation.
Her impact extends to Adventist Health Simi Valley, where she served on the strategic planning committee (2008-2012), contributing to key hospital projects, including the Emergency Department expansion and fundraising events like Hats Off to Women. As a foundation board member, Elaine has been instrumental in raising funds for critical initiatives, including the Advanced Care Expansion and the Nancy Reagan Breast Center.
Elaine’s journey began as a receptionist with the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, an organization founded in 1961 to balance growth with open space preservation. She played a key role in securing Corrigan Ranch and was involved in the permitting of the Ronald Reagan Library’s Air Force One Pavilion.
A devoted community leader, Elaine’s legacy is one of service, stewardship and faith. To honor her contributions, consider supporting the Nancy Reagan Breast Center Capital Campaign through Adventist Health Simi Valley Foundation. Your gift will help expand breast care services for more women in need. Thank you for celebrating Elaine Freeman and her remarkable achievements!
