Priority Initiatives

Focus Your Passion

It is such an exciting time to focus your passion for improving our community’s health and your philanthropic priorities. In addition to the work that our local hospitals do every day, philanthropy can enhance and in some cases sustain the Adventist Health programs that focus on our mission: Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope.

Greatest Need(1)

Empowering Impact Area of Greatest Need

The biggest and most exciting opportunities do not always happen according to schedule. Gifts to our Area of Greatest Need fund provide Adventist Health Simi Valley leaders with the flexibility to allocate resources where and when they are needed most. Gifts to this fund have helped purchase state-of-the-art equipment and technology, improved our physical campus and supported community projects.

When you give to Adventist Health Simi Valley Foundation Area of Greatest Need fund, your unrestricted gift is instrumental in helping us provide the high-quality care that our patients need.

Investing in the future of breast care Campaign for the Nancy Reagan Breast Center

The need for comprehensive breast care in our community continues to grow. In 2021, the Nancy Reagan Breast Center performed nearly 9,500 mammograms. The following year, that number increased by 7% to 10,200.

To continue Nancy Reagan's mission of ensuring women across Ventura County receive expert breast care, you're invited to join us in raising $2 million to renovate and expand the Nancy Reagan Breast Center.

The expansion will enable us to double the number of patients receiving state-of-the-art breast care, saving even more lives.

Supporting People on Their Path to Recovery Substance Use Navigator (SUN) Program

As alcohol and drug addiction continue to increase in Ventura County, those suffering are receiving the compassionate support needed to enter treatment, thanks to Adventist Health Simi Valley's Substance Use Navigator (SUN) Program. Acting as a trusted patient advocate, the Navigator addresses the “why” of addiction without judgment so patients can learn better ways to cope with past traumas. Physicians also provide patients with medication-assisted treatment to treat withdrawal symptoms and prevent overdose.

Together, we can help those suffering from addiction and save more lives.

Fostering Children's Growth Through Therapy and Play Child Development Center

Since 1979, the Child Development Center (CDC) at Adventist Health Simi Valley has provided essential services for children with unique needs and their families. We provide virtual, home-based, community-based and center-based services to families throughout Ventura County, Santa Clarita and the San Fernando Valley. Our interdisciplinary team works with children ages birth to young adulthood to treat a wide range of diagnoses.

Therapeutic play is a key part of our services. Our goal is to construct a forest-themed, inclusive playground at the CDC, which will be designed to help children develop agility, strength, balance and more in a fun, social environment. Your gift can help children reach their developmental goals.
